Upcycling tins

This is a fab wee project and really quick..
Covering aluminium tins with printed papers..
I put a few coats of varnish on them just so they can be wiped clean..
Tins can be used for so many things..
A few holes in the bottom and they make great plant pots..
Utensil holders... pens and art and craft storage.

I used a coffe mate tin...
Which is quite large with a lid..

My one is holding my bags of coffee for the French press..

Sheep skull decorating...

For this project I just printed off a design ..
Using A craft knife I cut out the shape as close to the line as possible....
Then glued it on...

Monks Bench Upholstery update...

When I first got the bench I quickly reupholstered it with some panel pins
and made a big cushion...
I never really did like the big sausage cushion...
Today I wadded and tacked the fabric down :)
Much better...

Tacked top panel  and sausage cushion...

Wadded and tacked down..

White painted floor ..

NEVER NEVER.. paint your floors white if you have a dog!...
I spend more time patching the floor than what I do anything else..
This was one of the biggest mistakes I made..
I painted over a soft pine sanded floor that hid all those marks the dog made.
The pine reflected an orange glow that threw off all the colours though.
Once the white floor is patched and painted though it does look good..
White reflects nice...
Livingarea/Workroom always looks good though when its freshly done...

Singer Treadle

When I buy or acquire anything new for the jigglemawiggle household...
It needs a few weeks settle in period!
Moving things around, a lot ( one might say quite obsessed! )...
To make it feel like it has always been part of...
Anyways...heres my treadle a few weeks after it has been saved from the skip...

Cheap and cheerful worktop revamp..

Ok until the day comes that I can have a solid oak sink surround...
Own either a Belfast or Butler sink  ..
be able to afford a joiner and a plumber together....
Then im afraid this wee cheap and cheerful tiling job will just have to do...
and I really enjoyed doing it!
2 boxes of nice apple green tiles from B&Q £5 per box
£9 for adhesive and grout ready mix..
It cost £19.00 all in..
I cut the edge tiles myself (as if you cant tell :/ ) as B&Q want a fortune for them...
