Emerald green & black hearth

My black and white decoupage hearth turned yellowy because of the top coat I put on, it said clear varnish but I never checked that it said non yellowing! Ive decoupaged in my next obsession which is green and used the same varnish as I think the yellowy tone enhances the green colour..what do you think..go black and white or porcelain blues maybe? or keep the green?
Update : Ive already painted over the green it looked a bit christmasy for me!!!
