I cladded the bath front a few years ago...I decided to distress it today to make the cladding pop a bit more. I painted it in black first, then went over it in a few coats of chalky white..distress and top coat with a flat matt water based varnish. It matches the shutters I made for the bathroom window, now im thinking I will do the wall cladding the same.
